What does Teekr do?
Teekr combines food-safety records, daily checks, recipes, suppliers, daily PDFs, rotas, attendance, training and multi-site tools. Its optional restaurant diary system adds online bookings, Stripe deposits and pre-order management.
How much does Teekr cost?
The core plan starts with 14 days free, with no card details required, then costs £50 per month excluding VAT for the primary venue and £25 per additional venue. Online Bookings is an optional £30/month excluding VAT add-on per venue, with a separate first calendar month free from unlock. Online deposits carry a 1% Teekr payment fee; Stripe fees are separate.
Do I need a card to start the free trial?
No. Your venue is created with a 14-day core-plan trial and no card details or subscription are required to begin. The optional booking add-on has its own one-calendar-month trial from the first unlock for each venue.
Can I manage more than one venue?
Yes. Every venue keeps its own data while authorised managers can move between the venues assigned to their account.
Does the subscription increase with booking numbers?
No. There is no tiered subscription based on booking quantities or covers. The Online Bookings System costs a flat £30 per month excluding VAT per venue, in addition to the core plan. Teekr charges 1% on payments collected through Stripe for table deposits, pre-order deposits and amendment top-ups; Stripe processing fees are separate. A booking with no online payment has no Teekr payment fee.
Is the restaurant diary included in the core subscription?
The Online Bookings System is an optional add-on at £30 per month excluding VAT, per venue. The first unlock starts one calendar month free for that venue, separately from the core plan’s 14-day trial. Each venue has its own diary, booking page, customers, rules and Stripe connection.
What happens when the booking trial ends?
After the one-month booking trial, £30 per month excluding VAT is added automatically to your existing subscription. Your billing day stays the same. The next bill includes prorated days between trial end and the billing date, plus the next month. An active GBP monthly Teekr subscription is required to continue after the trial. Disable the add-on before the trial ends to avoid the add-on charge. Disabling later stops new bookings and future recurring add-on charges, without an automatic refund for the current paid period; existing reservations and payments remain manageable.
How much do Stripe deposit payments cost?
Teekr charges 1% of each online deposit payment, including pre-order deposits and amendment top-ups. This is deducted from the venue’s receipt, not added to the guest’s requested amount. Stripe processing fees are separate. For a £50 deposit, the guest pays £50 and Teekr’s fee is 50p. Cash and other manually recorded deposits carry no Teekr payment fee.
Can guests pre-order food and pay an item deposit?
Yes. Create your own items, maximum quantities, optional deposits, available weekdays and times, and minimum notice. A booking for four could select two ribs at a £10 deposit each: £20 is added to any normal table deposit. An item needing 24 hours’ notice is hidden from online selection inside that window. Staff can choose an emailed Stripe request or record a manual deposit.
Can guests amend or cancel their booking?
Acknowledgements and confirmations include a private management link for upcoming bookings, whether or not a deposit is required. Guests can review available changes and pay any extra deposit before a paid amendment is applied. Your cancellation policy is shown in the journey. Guest cancellation does not automatically refund a deposit; the manager decides whether to refund it.
Can I restrict online bookings without restricting staff?
Yes. Choose online areas and arrival times by day and party size, while staff continue using the diary. For example, Saturday bookings of ten or more can be limited online to 6pm or 8pm. Walk-ins can be entered outside normal opening hours, without contact details, with an optional table-capacity override. Occupied tables remain protected.
Does Teekr guarantee an EHO rating?
No. Teekr helps venues organise records, guidance and internal audits, but each venue remains responsible for its procedures, legal compliance and EHO/FHRS rating.
What happens to our records if a subscription ends?
Inactive venues become read-only and retain access to unexpired historical records in line with Teekr’s 18-month retention policy.
